The article discusses the significance of information policy within modern states, particularly in an era when digital communications have become a central tool of governance. As technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, and virtual reality continue to develop, digital communications play an increasingly important role in changing social dynamics and the relationships between the state and its citizens. Digitalization, especially in the field of public administration, has gained significant importance in light of the rapid global changes in the technological landscape. Countries around the world are making coordinated efforts to optimize their administrative functions, improve the quality and speed of services, and ensure both transparency and accessibility through digital platforms.
The topic of digitalization in governance is particularly relevant in the context of large-scale technological changes that are transforming society. Today, there is an urgent need for governments to adapt to these transformations to meet the growing expectations for efficiency, responsiveness, and accountability. Various countries are using digital technologies to reform their public administration systems. In particular, the article analyzes the approaches of Denmark, the United Kingdom, the United States, Finland, and Ukraine, highlighting both successes and challenges faced by these countries in implementing digital systems in their public sectors.
In addition to assessing the technical aspects of digital transformation, the level of public trust in new technologies and government services is also important. The article examines in detail how citizens perceive these innovations and how their trust, or lack thereof, can significantly influence the success of digitalization initiatives. The relationship between a state’s technological infrastructure and public trust in it is a key factor in determining the effectiveness of digital governance. This research emphasizes the importance of not only focusing on technological achievements but also addressing the social and political factors that shape the public’s perception of digital tools.
