THE ROLE OF SOCIETY IN THE FORMATION AND IMPROVEMENT OF MANAGEMENT TO CREATE A FAVORABLE ENVIRONMENT FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF TERRITORIAL COMMUNITIES

One of the critical aspects is establishing trust between the territorial community and local authorities, which contributes to increasing mutual responsibility, increasing transparency in decision-making and developing local self-government. Public participation in the formation and implementation of policies related to the life of the territorial community is an essential principle of democracy and the development of civil society. The work was aimed at revealing the importance of interaction between authorities and the public in the local governance process and identifying opportunities and problems faced by both parties in this process. The importance of public participation in management decision-making was highlighted, emphasizing the need for a democratic approach to management based on openness, transparency and interaction with the population. It also considers the importance of cooperation between authorities and the public in the context of creating a favorable environment for the development of territorial communities and also considers the problems that both sides may face in the process of cooperation. This article examines an important aspect of public interaction with governance mechanisms at the local level. The importance of public participation in the formation and improvement of management to ensure the favorable development of territorial communities was emphasized. The influence of the public on the quality of governance, particularly at the local level, methods of involving the public in the decision-making process within the framework of local self-government, and obstacles to such participation in Ukraine are studied.
The role of public organizations, active citizens and other public entities in forming and implementing strategies for developing territorial communities is analyzed.
